It will happen....

So I met with the financial aid officer at school this morning.... I'm not able to get my pell grant in time for this school year, but I know what "issues" I have to work on...and it WILL HAPPEN. I am going to have to wait for next school year, and I'm hoping to do that. I need to find something at least part-time for now. In an ideal world, I could work while the kids are in school, 8-2:30....yeah right, let me set my own schedule! I wish I could find a reputable company that would let me work out of my home, that would be great!

On another school note, Breyna and Alex are loving school. For those who don't know, Alabama teachers/principals have authority to PADDLE children. Well, the 1st day of school Breyna came home with a few papers she did in class, no books. The next day, teacher showed Breyna a paddle and said if she didn't bring her spelling book back, she was going to be paddled and sent a note home to me. In return, I sent in a note saying nobody better touch her, especially since she didn't bring the book home to begin with. My concern with that is, at what point is it justified to paddle??? I pulled them out of that school and put them into a different, better school that is outside our county lines, but they won't be afraid to go to school to get paddled for no good reason! The new school won't paddle unless extreme conditions arise and even then they will call the parents first.

They paddle your kids!?!? Oh my goodness. That is so not right. I'm glad you moved them to a different school.

What do you want to go to school for? I'm excited you are going to!!

I know they are totally opposite of each other, but either cosmetology or nursing...
